A. Work up to heavy set of 3 OH squat, then do 3 sets of 3 @ 80%.
B. For time:
4 rounds of:
2 gym lengths bear crawl (if this is easy for you, I may modify the distance)
2 lengths OH plate lunges
8 strict pullups / tough ring rows
Run For Mom 5 km running race in Steinbach – If anyone is interested in participating in the team portion of this race, let me know. We should be able to put together at least one or two teams of four people. The cumulative time for all the four team members determines the placing of the team, so everyone can run at their own pace. It’s for a great cause!
Tonight was great – loved working out with everybody, crazy big group!!! Was awesome!
A. 45# was hoping for more, but just couldn’t do it!
B. 14:10 – OH plate lunges were 25# and broken up REAL bad. this whooped my butt big time. Today was my first workout since that nasty bug took over last week. i could tell…but it can only get better from here!! Thanks everyone for cheering me on ~ it helped!!
You did well, Esther! Give it a few more days, and you’ll be right back on track.
A. Overhead squat – 175# for 3. Previous 1 RM was 170, albeit from a while back, so I’m happy with 175. I tried a few times for 180, but I just wasn’t getting it up properly.
B. 7:00 with a 45# plate for the lunges. I think Jay and I got exactly the same time. He’d pull ahead on the bear crawl and lunges, and then I’d catch up on the pullups.
Eight people (!) came out at 4 pm, and some great work all around. Well done!
A) 145# – my previous 1RM. Now to get over my fear of getting 150# over my head.
B) 25# plate, horizontal ring rows. 10:25 – definitely struggled with the ring rows. I wasted a lot of effort with no reps that I had to then repeat.
It was great working out with you tonight, Kelly. Good job!
A) Kept losing my OH squat on the second rep, so I managed a 1 RM of 175. Sorry about the loud bit of cursing that followed my second failed attempt.
B) As Colin said, 7:00 flat. It was awesome to work through the back and forth battle. Thanks to Hillary covering coaching duties so Colin and I could go head to head for a change (it was more fun than spying the boards for each others time).
A special shout out to Shelley who did this with us and didn’t bat an eye by what was going on and finished in 8:00 flat.
Super fun working out with that big 4 pm crowd. Shout out to Hillary on that awesome OHS!
A. 105# x 3.
B. 11:54 using 25# and ring rows. Had never done 25# OH lunges before.
