A. Skill work – behind the neck jerk – 7×2 @ 50%. These are light, but focus on speed under the bar, and good foot position.
B. 3×3 push press @ 75% with slow negative.
C. 8 min AMRAP of:
8 weighted step-ups (heaviest possible)
8 DB push press
A. 35#, this movement is a work in progress – that’s forsure, hehehe!!
B. did 2 sets at 60#, and scaled back to 55#, found these heavy, but good.
C. 4+10… step ups scaled to weighted lunges @ 20#, did 8 DU’s and 48 singles, and the DB PP was 20#.
was a great early morning WOD!
Today’s workout smoked my arms… It hurts and feels awesome at the same time 😉
A. Used 55# for the behind the neck jerk. Still a skill in progress but it felt pretty good by the last few sets. I probably also could have gone heavier on the weight but I was trying to focus on technique.
B. Push press was was a bit under 75%, I used 85#’s and I felt the weight was good. I was able to do a 3-5 second negative.
C. For the this one I decided to push myself a little bit and grabbed a pair of 25# DB’s. I had to really push hard as the weight felt heavy but I did it!!
4 + 39 was my total!
you did AWESOME lisa!!! i was really trying to keep up with you in C. but just couldn’t keep the pace – you ROCK!!!
You rocked it Esther!!! The only reason I went faster and pushed harder was because I saw you pushing like crazy so I was thinking that I had to keep up with you!!
A) 95 and 115# non dominant leg forward is feeling much better than the other way around
B) 135…. Nice and saucy.
C) 4+ 29, 40# db’s, 20″ box. It may be a while before my traps speak to me again.
A) 70# – working on being aggressive.
C) totally chose the wrong weight. why oh why did I pick up 35#. Totally should have used 30# and I paid for it.
On the bright side, Melanie and I rocked the new 9 AM class.
A. 85#. A work in slowwwwww progress.
B. 105#, felt better than last time we did this. Tough but manageable.
C. Used 30#. Was tough. Amazing that you could even complete it with 35, Hillary, so give yourself some credit for that.
