A. Work up to heavy set of: high hang snatch + snatch balance
B. 3 x max effort Sots press
C. 100 wallballs for time. Your reps may be scaled depending on your level of experience.
***The skipping rope order has apparently been shipped, so hopefully they’ll be here inside of two weeks. I’ll give you your final total cost when they arrive.
A: I got up to 65#. They feel better but still have a lot of work to do on technique.
B: My shoulders were feeling stiff so I was only using the dowel with 5# on it
C: finished 7:37. This was hard i really tried to get deep in the squat at the bottom and not cheat myself. I had a few ugly wall balls that I had to redo but I finished!
A. Up to 80# twice but having trouble getting under the bar so dropped back to 75# for a final good-ish set.
B. Used 15#. Oddly the last set was stronger. I think my positioning was better. Something to think about for next time.
C. Used 14# to the 9′ line. 6:35 I believe. Very happy with this. I only had two no-reps.
Yep, the Sots press is all about position.
A. Worked up to 130, which I got on my third attempt. Snatch balances were easy at this weight. I’m getting used to handling slightly higher weight in these movements, so hopefully that will translate into the snatch itself.
B. Tried 55# for the Sots press, and got 5-6 reps each time. It’s amazing how much of a difference 5-10 pounds makes in this movement.
C. 5:32 for 100. Probably should have just done the full 150.
