A. Max box jump
B. 3-stop clean (low hang, hang, high hang) – work up to a heavy set.
C. 4 rounds for time:
Run 400 m
Max effort pull-ups.
*** Just a note about about the gym hours for next weekend. We will be closed on Saturday, August 3. There will be a team workout at 2 pm on the holiday Monday, August 5. It will be held at the gym unless otherwise stated.
A. opted out, knee is better but still not normal…
B. 75#…wished i coulda gone up…but will save it for another day!!
C. scaled to: 400m ROW, and ME pushups. 11:45 with 30 pushups…gotta admit the first set were not pretty, reset my form for second set and my reps were way lower. BUT i did them on the floor – WHOOP!!!
Happy Monday everyone!!! 🙂
Awesome job on the push-ups, Esther! Congratulations!
thanks!!!
ESTHER! Don’t sell yourself short- you did 40 awesome push-ups!!!!! ****
thanks!!!
Big shout out to Janelle for staying with me thought the entire workout. She kept me going!!! And I couldn’t have got my foot in the bands without her!
Anytime Erin glad to help. There is no I in team not even in team awesome !
A: 24 inch box which was a big accomplishment because last time I tried this box I fell
B: 110# they’re feeling great and my form is getting way better.
C:14:00 with 24 pull ups. I used the red and blue band.
I could have gone faster but to me it was more important to keep Erin going and walk as little as possible. She did great her time was 13:58!
A. 25″, not great but better than last time. This ties a 2-year-old PR. My mind gets in the way.
B. 120#. Happy enough with that. Big shout out to Hillary who PR’d her clean doing this today. All I can say is WOW!
C. 14:09 using green band and 31 pull-ups. Also still working on running technique.
Ahhh! Those box jumps are sooo intimidating!! Nice job on the PR!
A. Box Jump was 31.25″
…Unfortunately I couldn’t work up the nerve to jump any higher without fear of falling on my face. New goal for next time I guess.
B. 115# pretty happy with these!
C. Total time was 10:40ish but it was 4 Rounds of 400m Row (because of my knee pain) and ME Push-ups instead of pull-ups.
Row times were 1:29.1, 1:35.7, 1:31.3, 133.3 with total push ups (from the floor) at 36. Why are push-ups so difficult?!?
A) 37″ which is a PR by 1″. Quick explosive movements are my nemesis
B) 175#, fun times
C) 11:03 with 84 pull-ups. Managed to pull off a bunch of butterfly kips each round before switching to a traditional kip. Had a whole bunch of trouble straightening my arms after this one.
Awesome looking at everyones results on the board today, it’s exciting to see how much stronger you’re each getting
I kind of pieced this one together over the course of the open gym time, as it wasn’t super busy.
A. 41″ — I think my PR is 42″, but it wasn’t happening today. Ask Mara how many times I attempted it.
B. 180# – I probably could have gotten 185 if I’d tried it first, rather than trying 190 four times. I wasn’t quite nailing the catch position, so I decided to pack it in before I did my wrists in.
C. I chased Jay for most of this one. I finished sooner (10:55, I think), but that’s because I didn’t do as many pullups (63 total). First set was 24, but it fell off pretty quickly after that.
A) 32″, tied my PR from last time, Attempted 33″ but my mind got in the way and ended up with a little hop and a laugh.
B) Finished at 90#
C) 13:19, ended up running 800m on the first run so i got in an extra 400m ha ha oops, 39 banded pull-ups.
A) 26″ – which is huge for me. Wimped out on 28″
B) 150#. super stoked with this. PR
C ) 12:52 with 34 pullups Rx
A) 27″ – No idea what my previous max was. This activity is such a mental game.
B) 87.5#
C) 11:24, 35 pullups using thin red and thin blue bands. Was fun trying to keep up with Colin & Jay on the run portion!
Melissa – Thanks for cheering me on during part C, it was getting tough!
