Mentally and physically this one was one of the toughest workouts I’ve ever done.
A. Done, last set at 187.5. This is right on the border of impossible for me, especially in my present tired condition.
B. Started with the 24″ box but only lasted one set, then dropped to 20 and barely managed that on my last set. 2 + 3 and 2 rounds even. Then it took me over 2:30 to finish the double unders. Not a good day, but at least I did it. Thanks to everyone (especially Dylan!) for their encouragement.
Never has an upcoming rest day been quite so fantasized about.
Dylan loves his Mara!
I have to agree with Mara that this was more challenging than normal considering how sore I was when I woke up from yesterday’s double workout. I did this one at home first thing in the morning before I could change my mind, haha!
The last set of squats my legs shook pretty bad for the last three reps but I pulled through it all!
Part B I somehow managed the exact same number both times, 3 full rounds plus 1 box jump. Double unders I forgot to time, I just wanted to get them done and get out of the cold as soon as possible. My legs weren’t as compliable as I had hoped for those.
After this WOD I scarfed down lunch like I’ve never seen food before then stayed glued to my couch for the next hour trying to muster up the energy to get on with my day. Before barn I did a ton of stretching and yoga and surprisingly after all my barn chores I’m not sore anymore! Hopefully I’ll feel like this when I wake up tomorrow morning!
